Is the World God's Body?
Thesis: Open and relational theology can retain its rich interpersonal images of God while grounding them in Hartshorne's idea that the universe is the body of God. God can be understood as the Living Whole of the universe itself, with each entity present in God's life as cells. And just as our cells have creativity of their own, so we, as cells in God's body, have creativity of our own. And yet, seeing the world as God's body adds a sacramental dimension to open and relational theology. When we look at the world we are looking at part of God's life,
