Singing with Friends
Open and Relational Musicking
“The lyrics are important, I guess. But for me, it’s the melody and the rhythm — and most of all, the togetherness of singing with others. I know a lot of people focus on the words, but I focus on the feeling. In those moments, when voices rise and fall in harmony, I feel connected — like we’re creating something beautiful together. I find God in that co-creative energy. Is God in the togetherness? Maybe. That’s where I feel something sacred.”
