The Stalinization of America
seeking a Christian alternative
Under Joseph Stalin, the Soviet Union was transformed into a dictatorship that exercised near-total control over its citizens’ lives. Fear was the ultimate currency, and history was rewritten with each new betrayal. During The Great Purge (1936–1938), Stalin unleashed a campaign of mass arrests, forced confessions, and executions, targeting not only political rivals but also intellectuals, military leaders, and ordinary citizens accused of harboring “counter-revolutionary” thoughts. Those who survived were sent to the gulags, forced labor camps in the most inhospitable regions of the Soviet Union, where millions perished from starvation, overwork, and brutal conditions.
