Digital Stories made by Drake College Students
the Hindu World in Des Moines, Iowa
"Professor Knepper’s January 2017 Religions of Des Moines: Hinduism course facilitated the creation of four digital stories, each by a member of the Hindu Cultural and Educational Center. Given the abbreviated span of a J-term course, students developed these stories from interviews that they conducted at one of HCEC’s bhajan services. These stories attest to the courage and resolve of this refugee community, as well as their commitment and determination to preserve their culture and practice their religion in Des Moines. Special thanks to the Slay Fund for Social Justice for funding the creation of these digital stories."
