The Better Angels Project
a practical approach to social healing
conversations across political divides and
one-sided stereotypes for the sake of
mental health and the common good
Inter-Political Conversations as a Leading Edge of Interfaith: Eboo Patel of the Interfaith Youth Core speaks of "pluralism" as an achievement not a fact. It is what happens when people with different religious affiliations (and with no affiliation) find common ground and work together for the common good. The Better Angels Project, videos for which are featured on this page, offers an effective way of encouraging conversations across political divides for the sake of the common good. These conversations are the leading edge of interfaith movement, insofar as they include the "political faiths" which so shape people's lives. Only as we listen to other people's political faiths, and become friends along the way, despite our differences, can we work together for the common go. (Jay McDaniel)
